Over the course of 3 years, tax payers 'paid' these volunteers $20,000 per year in food & travel. They brought in hundreds of millions of dollars through the Water Tower district, and they about about to bring in hundreds of millions more in the Arvada Ridge project, including the new Super Target anchor. The work they do, on a volunteer basis, would normally cost consultants $75,000+ per employee. So...I'm thinking that the tax payers are getting a helluva deal on this one. We get discount consultation and wonderful results.

The Arvada Ridge development project is a work of art, in progress. In fact, I believe that the project will make Bellmar look like a rookie project. I say, "mad props to the pimps."

So...stop hatin' fool.

Are you kidding me? Just because they do their job they get to drop a bill on themselves for dinner every chance they get? Fuck that. I'm doubting they would ever spend that much on one meal if they were footing the bill. Can you have dinner on the company? Yes. Just don't be a jackass and run up the tab.

I'm 100% with the MixMaster on this one. You have to somehow have some incentive for the right people to do something like this for "free". If they are unpaid but stay in decent hotels and have nice meals, yet have brought in a large magnitude of new revenue vs. what they spent, that's just the cost of doing business. BFD I say.

I don't see you volunteering your services to a certain University for free there yourself, buck-o. ;) I think people generally hold goverment to standards that they themselves would not live-up to.
